Where We’ve been

When we got married we were living in Hong Kong.  Not long after we moved to Guangzhou, China. Not long after that we went on a fabulous month long honeymoon to India, and sometime after that Saffy arrived!

We continued to travel around China and Asia, taking in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore in addition to several trips back to Europe – especially England, Ireland and Scotland to see family.  Before we departed for the Middle East we took an extended trip to see some of the sights of China we’d not seen – China is huge, we’ve still not seen most of it!!

Indy arrived soon after we relocated to Abu Dhabi and we started our Middle Eastern adventures to Oman, Jordan, Syria and several trips to India too. We’ve also been back over to Asia a few times, including a 6 week trip by Kirsty and the girls to China, and we had an amazing trek around Morocco in 2011 too. Since then a few family weddings have taken us back to various parts of Europe, and we’ve had some more adventures.

The list of future places was long….. and often constrained by work and school but our ultimate aim was always to save enough to take off and see where we end up one day, some day….. 2014 was the year we hit the road, starting with a summer trip to the USA, Mexico and Cuba, and followed up with a road trip that took us from Abu Dhabi to Ireland, and onwards into 2015 before heading back to Abu Dhabi again via the Central Asian ‘Stans….

2016 saw a 2 month long train trip from Hong Kong to Manchester and 2017 had us taking a month long mountains and monasteries trip around Eastern Tibet. And now for 2018… and some new adventures….

Wow, your places we’ve been to map, looks more like a Destinations We Fly To of quite a large International Airline than a family travel map. Amazing posts and travels

That is awesome! I also love travelling and have seen quite a few countries too, but guys have really travelled the globe.
