  • Hello and Welcome!

Come on in... here you’ll find bits and bobs about us, The Larmours, our life, where we live, what we do, and most of all, about our biggest shared family passion – our travels. This is a record for us, a place for us to share pictures and ramblings on what we’ve done and where we’ve been, but you’ll find occasional blethering about other things too.

We met in Hong Kong, and since then have lived and worked all over Asia before settling in China, where our Saffy arrived and then moving to the UAE where Indy joined us. Since we met we’ve travelled – since we married we’ve been on an adventure – since we had kids it hasn’t stopped… ultimately, all our small travels were preparation for the big one – that one day we hoped to take – a gap year, a sabbatical, a break from the daily grind – and starting 2014 we took off on it..... across the world, and then on a road trip that has taken us to three continents so far.....

Grab a cup of tea and come exploring with us,
Kirsty, Tommy, Saffy and Indy xxxx

Letter from the UAE desert

We love living right on the edge of the desert. Our winters are taken up with trips out for BBQs and the occasional camp out, and Saffy even asked for her birthday party out there this year… it’s just the most stunning scenery….

I’d been wanting to do a shoot out there with my girls for ages – but getting them to cooperate together doesn’t always work!!! So one afternoon when we were out Indy and I left Saffy and T and headed off across the dunes on our own…. just to explore and do our own thing as the sun went down..

I live for moments like this with my girls – a bit of alone time – time to let their own personalities shine (yes, she chose the hat herself!) and a chance to capture photos of not only this little soul that I love, but a place that we love too….

Thanks to the ever fabulous Courtneycourtney for this dress that just worked so perfectly in this amazing scenery….

I LOVE the fringing, absolutely love it… and the strawberry screen print is just the perfect icing on a set of pictures that just melt me….

So welcome, I hope you enjoyed seeing a little tiny corner of the world we live in…. Kirsty x

Letter from the blissful beaches of the Andaman Islands

I’m so lucky – not only do I get to travel to amazing places but my kids love it too – and of course this family travel time gives me plenty of one on one with my girls… especially when we have adorable dresses to show off. I’ve mentioned Courtneycourtney before… she upcycles dresses from recycled, repurposed clothing and we love her stuff more than I can possibly tell you…

This little lady of mine – she throws herself into ideas and ran off to find her collection of “treasures” to show off – she’d been collecting them over a couple of days and hiding them in the trees beside the beach!

We loved this tree – we actually spent quite a lot of time camped out on the beach by it.. swinging on it… climbing on it and just hanging out there….

The sunsets in the Andaman Islands were truly amazing – we arrived there in the tail end of a cyclone (which made for a rather bumpy flight, a missed ferry out to this beautiful island, a night stuck in the capital city and a sea sick girlie on the ferry the following day :() but I am sure it made the sunsets more vibrant as this was on the wrong side of the island and yet we were still cast in the most amazing warm pink and purple glow…

I had to get in a little lensbaby love too…..

It truly was beach bliss….. I can’t believe it’s already 2 months since we came back…… take me back there…… Kirsty xx
